Delicious Raspberry Tea
I'm finding out that Waka has the best teas around. Their Raspberry Flavored Green Instant Tea is wonderful! It's not sweet, but flavorful. I enjoy having it at lunchtime every day. If you haven't tried this one, you should.
Waka Raspberry Green Instant Tea is a soluble tea powder made from 100% premium green tea leaves, naturally flavored with raspberry. It is unsweetened with no added sugar, no artificial colors, no carriers, and no fillers. A 1/4 teaspoon contains approximately 35 mg of caffeine, and the 4.5 oz pouch makes about 200 servings. No steeping or brewing required.
Can I use this for loaded teas?
Yes. Green tea powder is a standard base for homemade loaded teas because it dissolves in cold water and the strength is set by the spoonful, so you control both the tea flavor and the caffeine in each drink — something tea bags and pre-mixed concentrates do not allow. Raspberry is a common berry base. Recipes are in the Loaded Tea Zone.
Is raspberry green tea sweet?
Not on its own. There is no added sugar, so the raspberry comes through as bright fruit flavor against bittersweet green tea rather than as sweetness. Add sugar or honey to taste.
How much caffeine is in a serving?
Approximately 35 mg per 1/4 teaspoon, the same as Waka's unflavored green and black instant teas.
How do I make raspberry iced tea?
Dissolve in a little hot water first, then top with cold water and ice for the cleanest result. If mixing straight into cold water, stir vigorously or use a frother. One pouch makes about 200 servings.
What does raspberry green tea powder taste like?
Bittersweet green tea with subtle notes of bright and earthy ripe raspberries. It is unsweetened, so the raspberry is a flavor note rather than sweetness.
Is raspberry tea powder made with real tea?
Yes. It is made from 100% premium green tea leaves, and the ingredients are green tea powder and natural flavors.
Can I make hot raspberry green tea?
Yes. Stir 1/4 teaspoon into a mug of hot water; it needs no steeping or tea bags.
How many cups of raspberry green tea does one pouch make?
About 200 servings at 1/4 teaspoon each from the 4.5 oz (128 g) pouch.
Pour ¼ - ½ tsp of tea powder into a cup. For hot tea, add 8-10 fl oz of hot water, stir and enjoy. For iced tea, add 2 fl oz of hot water and stir. Top with 6-8 fl oz of cold water, add ice and enjoy. Visit our How to Brew page to learn more.
